Trump twisted a natural instinct — loyalty and belonging — into blind devotion, then sealed it in with cognitive dissonance so thick they can’t see daylight. History’s shown us this before, from Hitler to Jim Jones. They’re lost, and the only answer now is to remove them from power entirely.

What l can't understand is that people are so extraordinarily loyal to trump and he is so extraordinarily disloyal to everyone. It's always the same, whatever it is that trump demands, he has none to give. Loyalty, love, respect, care, justice, fairness, attention, kindness etc. etc.
