The Death of Truth
There is a moment when a nation crosses a line it cannot easily return from:
when truth is no longer discovered, but assigned.
When reality is not observed, but dictated.
At that moment, truth ceases to be a matter of evidence, argument, or discovery.
It becomes a trophy seized by the strong and a punishment inflicted on the weak.
Truth is no longer “what is.”
Truth is “what the powerful say it is.”
Those who question it are not debated — they are destroyed.
When every question of truth becomes a question of power,
language rots.
Law shatters.
Society sinks into silent terror.
Freedom does not fall with a scream.
It falls with a shrug, a bowed head,
and the whispered prayer: “Stay silent. Stay safe.”
