The Cabinet of Lies: Performing Treason in Broad Daylight

I watched today’s cabinet meeting with a knot in my stomach.

Not because I expected integrity—those days are long gone—but because of how easily this group lies. Effortlessly. Casually. Live, on camera, for the world to see. As if truth were the enemy, and shame a weakness.

They weren’t embarrassed. They were emboldened.

This wasn’t a meeting. It was a performance. A televised ritual of deception—where every falsehood serves two masters: the cult and the camera. They know the footage is being recorded. They know it will be preserved. And they don’t care. Because in this new American authoritarianism, lying on tape is a feature, not a bug.

This is how gaslighting works at the level of government. The message isn’t just “this is what we believe.” It’s “we can say anything—and you can’t stop us.”

But here’s the thing: history is watching, too. And so are the rest of us.
