How Is Clarence Thomas Still on the Court?
Because nobody has stopped him.
Clarence Thomas remains on the Supreme Court not because he’s innocent—but because Congress refuses to act. He has accepted lavish gifts from billionaires with business before the court. He failed to disclose them. He ruled in cases where his wife, Ginni Thomas, was directly involved in an effort to overturn the 2020 election. That’s not ethics. That’s corruption.
And yet… he’s still there. Why?
Because impeachment is a political act, not just a legal one.
What Leverage Do
We
Have?
1. Public Pressure:
Congressional inaction thrives on public apathy. But a tidal wave of outrage—sustained, loud, relentless—can shift the landscape. Petitions. Protests. Media. Substack. TikTok. Town halls. Every pressure point matters.
2. House Democrats (and a few brave Republicans):
Impeachment starts in the House. A simple majority can file Articles of Impeachment. We need to demand our representatives stop treating judicial corruption like an academic debate and treat it like a national emergency.
3. Senate Hearings & Investigations:
Even without impeachment, the Senate Judiciary Committee can drag this rot into the light. Subpoenas. Testimony. Financial audits. Make the corruption visible.
4. State-Level Accountability:
States can pass judicial ethics resolutions and call on Congress to act. State-level momentum can make federal action politically necessary.
5. The Court of Public Opinion:
If the Supreme Court has become untouchable by law, then it must be accountable to the people. Treat every justice like an elected official. Make their misconduct viral. Strip their legitimacy with truth.
The Bottom Line:
Clarence Thomas is still on the court because we let him be.
There’s no cavalry coming. We are the accountability. The founders gave us tools—impeachment, protest, speech, elections. It’s time to use them all.
Justice is not a suggestion. Neither is the Constitution.
We the people are the fourth branch of government.
